Managing Principal
Phil Costa is the Managing Principal and Founder of Monopoly Group Real Estate (MGRE). Before launching MGRE, he served as Vice President at a commercial real estate brokerage firm, specializing in investment sales and tenant representation. Phil is passionate about real estate and dedicated to helping his clients achieve their goals. As a real estate investor himself, he understands firsthand the challenges and opportunities his clients face.
Phil grew up in New Jersey and attended the University of Maryland, where he was a two-time All-Academic ACC selection and captain of the football team. While at Maryland, he began a Master’s in Real Estate Development, which sparked a passion for real estate that continues today.
Phil went on to play four seasons in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, serving as the starting center for quarterback Tony Romo. Entering the league as an undrafted free agent, Phil’s journey required immense grit, work ethic, and determination to earn and keep his spot on the team—qualities he now applies to fiercely advocate for his real estate clients and help them achieve success.
After football, Phil earned his MBA from Columbia University. His wife, Stephanie, is a NICU nurse who has worked at top hospitals including Tampa General and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). In his free time, Phil enjoys being with his family—his wife and daughter, Camille—exploring the Florida beaches and staying active in the local community.
Phil also serves on the Board of Directors of AthLife, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping current and former athletes succeed academically and professionally after their playing careers.

Tyler Maxwell is a seasoned professional in the field of investment real estate and tenant/landlord representation, known for his expertise in facilitating profitable real estate deals and fostering mutually beneficial relationships.
During the weekends, Tyler indulges in his passion for wakeboarding. He loves teaching others how to ride and maintains the same methodical approach he uses in his professional life to learn new tricks. Tyler’s unwavering dedication to getting better every day ensures that he’s your ideal partner in achieving your real estate goals.

Senior Advisor
Josh King specializes in tenant representation and investment sales. Originally from South Georgia, Josh studied Business Management at the College of Coastal Georgia. It was through early career experiences that he discovered a passion for the real estate industry—a passion that has only grown with time.
After spending his postgraduate years in Savannah, GA, Josh and his fiancée found themselves missing the beach lifestyle. Tampa offers the perfect balance—a thriving, fast-growing real estate market combined with access to Florida’s beautiful coastline, with endless golfing and fishing to keep him busy outside of the office.
Now based in Tampa, Josh specializes in tenant representation and investment sales. He takes pride in helping his clients grow, guiding them through every step of their real estate journey, and sharing in their excitement and success.
